Skele-jacket (Part II)

We left Part I of this project waiting for the finishing touches to the front of the jacket (if you missed Part I, see the link below).

I wasn't entirely sure how the pockets were going to turn out. When I first started embroidering the border around the fabric patch, I wasn't pleased with how isolated it felt from the rest of the jacket.
To fix this, I added second border, using a basic running stitch, to soften the solid line of the chain stitch border.

Whilst that might hav marked the completion of the jacket's outside, I still had some work to do on the inside.
I still needed to protect the stitching on the inside of the jacket from wear. I used a soft fabric layer to cover the (inside the sleeve, lining of the lower pocket, back panel). Hopefully, this should stop it from rubbing against my brother's skin uncomfortably as well as protecting it.
