Keeping it Ginger Part I

I put a fair bit of effort into maintaining my hair, or at least enough effort to bother posting about it. As much as I like the colour and shape, my main point of pride is how soft I keep my hair.
Here's how:
- Frequent haircuts
I do get my haircut professionally, but I can't get it done often enough to keep the layers and fringe in the right shape, so I have to trim my hair myself every month or so. This keeps the shape, but also stops split-ends from forming. - Henna
The not-s0-secret secret is out: I'm not a real ginger. I've been dyeing my hair with henna for most of my life, although my mum helped a lot when I was younger. Henna binds with your hair and creates a barrier around it that protects it, as well as conditioning it. - Air-drying
My hair is always the softest when I let it dry naturally after a shower, particularly if it's in a warm room where it'll dry faster. - Argan oil
After I wash my hair, while it's still damp, I hang my head upside down and scrunch half a pump of argan oil into the ends of my hair. This helps prevent split-ends as well as soften my hair generally.
In Part II, I'll go through the process of cutting and dyeing my hair.
