I hail from Cambridgeshire, specifically from a small village on the edge of it, only a three hour walk from city centre. Growing up in Cambridgeshire provided me with a few notable experiences. Such as blowing a tire on a pothole along the ever-sinking fen-land roads, and spending over three hours stuck in traffic trying to get to or home from college via bus (I'm now a master of efficient bus travel in Cambridgeshire).

I'm the youngest of three children, sister to two brothers. I'm generally quite close with my family, despite being an English student instead of following my brothers and dad into (some variant of) engineering. Thankfully, I'm not the only academic deviant, my mum being a passionate gardener that distinctly lacks an affinity for technology, so I have someone to back me up against the pressure from my brothers to become a woman in STEM - apparently a job-guarantee.

I'm currently studying for a degree in English Literature with Creative Writing, and thus am also a student of efficient bus travel in Manchester. Before this, I studied English Literature and Language, Geography and Psychology at Hills Road Sixth Form College.
